The Polar Wave ice and compression machine is phenomenal. After surgery when my leg was swollen, irritated, and inflamed, the sensation of this ice machine is as close to ecstasy as I can imagine on Earth. I joked with someone yesterday that I would give away Shaggy (miniature Highland cow) before I would give away this ice machine, LOL. Yes, that is a joke but I love this machine that much.

My husband developed some acute neck pain with some accompanying radiating numbness down through his shoulder blade. He has been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in his lumbar area. I did my research. We could pay $400 for a MRI, or $400 for a Saunders traction device. We went with the plan that could target the pain and correct the problem. So glad we did. My husband has had much less pain and numbness. I have also enjoyed the traction device 1-2 times a day for 10". I have far less neck/upper trap stiffness. This is helping both of us. I say this is a must for anyone aging that might benefit from a good neck stretch!

The biggest win is the adjustability. Being able to quickly change positioning without wrestling with the table makes transfers, manual work, and exercise setup way smoother. The hi-lo function is especially helpful with higher fall-risk patients and anyone who needs a little extra control getting on and off.

From a comfort standpoint, patients have actually commented on it more than expected. The padding feels supportive without being overly firm, and people tend to settle in quickly during longer treatment sessions.

After a lot of research and hunting I decided to go with Source Ortho. First of all they picked up their phone. Second they answered all my questions and accommodated order additions and changes. The machine is incredible and so are they. I ended up buying the machine since I'm looking at three surgeries in the next nine months... two shoulder replacements and foot surgery.

The air cast is perfect for my husband. It is very easy to use and adjust to make a perfect fit. He loves it and it really relieves his pain also fits easily into shoes.
