This new boot is crap compared to the original aircast boot. Bought two new inserts but have no clue how to use them. Zero instructions.

This is the exact boot than my foot surgeon's office had for $380. Source Ortho delivered with two day shipping for about $100. Boot is serving it's purpose nicely. I don't understand how or why ortho practices gouge patients and insurers (which comes back to all of us in premiums) so badly.

I had the higher boot AirSelect for my Achilles years ago but misplaced it in a move. I have Achilles tendonosis and this has been good for giving the my tendon the rest it needs. The boot itself when properly adjusted is comfortable. It does put a bit of pressure on my shin but I added a bit more cushioning and all is well. Very pleased with the shorter version of the AirSelect boot.

So I actually returned the Air Select boot because I was a bit put off by the hard pieces in front. It seemed pretty complicated to get in and out of the boot. I ended up getting another boot that didn’t have the hard pieces on the front (just straps). While the different boot goes on easily, it is heavy, which makes me wish I had given the Air Select a chance. It is apparently the lightest model out there. So depending on your needs, it may be a better option. I can give SourceOrtho 5+ stars for customer service. Fortunately I live near their headquarters so I was able to swap the Air Select out for a different model. They even brought out a few options to make sure I found what I was looking for. Much appreciated!
