Easy to use and very efficient

Works great and I was very impressed that it’s so easy to use.

Nowhere near the GameReady, but for the price I hope it'll do

I'm having my second rotator cuff surgery this year. For the first one, I rented the GameReady machine. It was $200/week and i had it for 2 weeks. I wished I had it longer, too. So this time around, I figured it would make more sense to just buy my own machine for cheaper than renting the other for 2 weeks. I am having my surgery this week, so I haven't used the machine for my pain yet, but just as a comparison - it's definitely not going to be as good as the high-dollar machine. The compression isn't anything compared to the other. (I actually thought the compression wasn't working when I first tried it because it was so minimal. So, I am a bit disappointed with that. It was pretty cold, although not as cold as the GR. But after reading reviews, I was afraid it would not be as cold. But I think it'll be alright in that aspect. It'll take more changing out of ice for sure. With the GR, I was able to last all through the night without adding ice. This machine will need changed out once for sure.
I was nervous about how small it is. It's like a 3rd the size of the GR. But I actually think I prefer that, even tho it'll need more ice changing. It'll be easier to refill and also store, which is a plus.
I'm glad I called and asked about which pad I should purchase. I was considering getting the universal so I could use it for my son's knee also. But they recommended to get the shoulder one for this. I'm glad, because I can't imagine how little compression I would feel with a pad that doesn't fit as well as the shoulder.

Worth every penny

I had right total knee replacement and the Breg Polar Care Wave (Breg) has been essential to me especially after PT. The device arrived via USPS within the time frame indicated on the website. Side note - USPS tracking leaves a lot to be desired. The Breg was easy to setup and is very quiet while in use. I froze 8 plastic water bottles for chilling using 4 at a time. That was there are always 4 frozen bottles.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the connector on the kneepad is hard plastic and it causes discomfort. I wrapped it in bubble wrap. If any Breg folks read this, think about a cushiony interface or maybe extend that tubing by 2-3 inches.

Buy it, it’s a game changer.
