Measured per instructions, not a lot of extra room. When active having to adjust as it slides down the sleeve, or sometimes both do. Otherwise it does the job.

Finally did something stupid enough that I had to admit that I needed a knee brace. The Orthopod Dr. recommended this brace for medial compartment unloading. Due to the fact that I live in a remote location I ordered 2 braces one directly from Donjoy and one via Amazon (and accidentally inputed a 3rd brace). All were listed as this model but all are different. They simply are not the same. In fact they are all different sizes XL/L, XL, L (the L one is actually the biggest one - go figure). They all work well and all need some adjustments as the day proceeds (duh). The most comfortable one has the Donjoy logo over the hinged metal and a wonderful pad on the other side (I wish there was a better way to prescribe it). If you are buying one, make sure you can return it for the proper size after trying it out.
