Like the others, this ProCare kit requires assembly which I found to be simple and intuitive. Some elements such as the length of cord from pully to suspended water bag will require the user to be sure the bag does not rest on the floor. Also, my kit had no separate "S" hook (referred to in the spartan instructions) to allow easy attachment and detachment of cord with the metal loop at the top of the bag. One may need to buy one at a hardware store. Furthermore, instructions suggest that a second "helper" assist the user in and out of the device. I found that with some creativity, solo use was possible.
So far, after about a week or two of use, the kit seems sturdy enough.

The only complaint I would have is there is a small area that the cold does not reach and that happens to be the exact part of my rotator cuff that is damaged. However, it must have accomplished the job required because I do not have pain after using it for a week and therefore, I will give it a 5-star review. I use Game Ready for the same issue for my knee and I know that it works. This is a fantastic product. I highly recommend GR to anyone in need of reducing swelling. I researched all of the different units and systems available. My PT used it on me at the end of my sessions and when I walked out to my car, the swelling was gone for the first time in a few years. Of course, it re-emerged within a few days, hence the reason to purchase my own system, to ice daily. It has been four months and no more swelling.
